Salman Khan Is Worldwide Number One Tuesday 27th September 2011 12.00 IST Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network Ready made Salman Khan the number star one at the box office in India as per opening boxoffice collections and now Bodyguard has put him at the top Worldwide as per opening collections. He is not on top in the Overseas market but he is so far ahead in India that it also gives him a huge lead Worldwide as India forms 80% of the theatrical market today. Its a case of having a volume of films and all opening to bumper collections and if it keeps on going this way, he is unmatchable as the other stars competing like Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan don't have the same volume year in year out. The guy who does have the volume Akshay Kumar, is not opening at bumper levels like a few years back apart from the occasional film. Shahrukh Khan is down to fourth in the domestic rankings as both as Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is nearly out of the system with it coming up to 3 years since release and My Name Is Khan also loses points on a monthly basis.
